School Mission Statement

St. Croix Central High School is committed to providing comprehensive educational opportunities to our diverse student body through the offering of a wide variety of academic, career and technical programs, citizen enrichment programs, multi-disciplinary learning experiences, and extra-curricular activities in which critical thinking and ethics are promoted, thus continuing our rich legacy of nurturing young minds.

La Escuela Superior de St. Croix Central High tiene el compromiso de proveer oportunidades educacionales comprensivas para nuestro diverso cuerpo estudiantil, ofreciendo una extensa variedad de programas academicos y tecnicos, programas de enriquezimiento al ciudadano, experiencias multi-diciplinarias de aprendizaje, y actividades extra-curricurales donde el pensamiento critico y etico es promovido, para asi continuar nuestra rica herencia de nutrir mentes jovenes.

The School’s Beliefs are:

  1. To foster respect for the human and civil rights of all members of the CHS community
  1. To provide an environment for academic excellence and higher education opportunities as well as preparing students for future employment and community service
  1. To assist each student to raise their level of achievement to the fullest
  1. To provide a school climate that will challenge and engage each student in his/her development, growth, and socially acceptable patterns of behavior
  1. To teach students to respect and appreciate their learning environment which will enhance school pride
  1. To assist students in computer literacy and in staying abreast of developing trends in technology in order to meet the demands of today’s changing workforce
  1. To nurture intellectual development in students in order to foster critical and independent thinking, enabling students to make sound judgments and wise decisions
  1. To develop and stimulate interest in our rich Virgin Islands multi-cultural heritage and history.
